What times do the tours leave?
Tours depart every half-hour, starting at 9:30 a.m. daily and continuing until 3 p.m. from March–November and until 2 p.m. from December–February. During busy days and during the height of the tourist season (April-October), tours usually continue until sunset. Please call to confirm.
Where do the tours start and end?
All tours depart and conclude at the Visitors Center at 375 Meeting Street.
Do you offer tours year-round?
We offer tours every day throughout the year except for New Years day, Thanksgiving day and Christmas day.
Is it possible to get on and off the bus at different points of interest? What stops does the bus make?
Tour One, the Historic Charleston tour, makes one stop along the waterfront Battery to give guests an opportunity to take photos. Tour Two, Historic Charleston + Restored Home, makes an additional stop at the historic Joseph Manigault House. The bus does not make any additional stops.
If I buy a combination ticket, do I have to go on the second portion of the tour immediately?
The city tour, home tour or boat/cruise portions of our tours may be taken on separate days. Tickets do not expire.
Do the boat and cruise portion of the tours run during rain or inclement weather?
Yes, except for extreme circumstances.
Are children welcome on the tours?
Yes, all ages are welcome and children who sit in an adult’s lap are free.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer a $2 discount per ticket for AAA and AARP members for the 90 minute Historic Charleston City Tour (Tour #1 ). Discount does not apply to Combo Tours.
Are there restroom facilities available?
There are no restroom facilities on the bus, but there are facilities at the Charleston Visitors Center.
Can I bring food or beverages on the bus?
No, food and beverages are not allowed on the bus. Please finish eating or drinking prior to boarding.
Are the buses handicap-accessible? 
We do have one handicap-accessible bus. Please call 24 hours ahead to ensure its availability.
Are service dogs allowed on the bus?
Service dogs are allowed to accompany passengers on the bus.
Do you offer private tours?
Yes, our mini-buses are available for special events and private functions. See Group Services for details.
